Business & Decision Strengthens its SAP Expertise in Switzerland with the Acquisition of SyBOR

Paris, 3 October 2006: Business & Decision, the international consulting and data engineering company specialising in Business Intelligence, Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Resource Planning and E-Business, today announced the acquisition of SyBOR, the Swiss-based consultancy company.

Specialising in the integration of SAP applications, SyBOR is one of the leading SAP integrators in Switzerland with notable expertise in SAP NetWeaver. Additionally SyBOR boasts E-Business expertise in JAVA, J2EE and Oracle. SyBOR is the market leader in providing solutions to the public sector and is certified: IS 9001:2000.

The acquisition of SyBOR was realized in cash, with an additional amount linked to performance in terms of sales turnover and profitability.

According to Patrick Bensabat, Chairman of Business & Decision, "This acquisition will enable us to increase our presence in Switzerland and become a recognised leader with offices in Bern, Zurich and Geneva. With a complementary offering to that of Business & Decision, SyBOR will enable the Group to strengthen its relationship with SAP and become more strategic. The IT market in Switzerland today is growing and SAP’s solutions are seen as a key area of growth for Business & Decision.” 

Founded in 1985, SyBOR is located in Bern. The company recorded sales turnover of €5.6 million for 2005 (ending 31 December). For 2006, estimated sales turnover is €6 million. The company which employs 46 staff (as of 31 December 2005), works with large clients such as the General Office of Information and Telecommunications (OFIT), CSC, SRG SSR (Swiss Television) and the Swiss Touring Club.  

Pavel Stacho, General Manager of SyBOR, will contribute to the development of Business & Decision's model in Switzerland from its offices in Bern and significantly reinforce the Group's existing presence in that region.

Stacho joined SyBOR in 1993 as a computer engineer. He began his career working in the IT department of the Swiss Post Office as a developer. In 1995, he launched SyBOR’s SAP practice and developed the first key SAP accounts.

From 1998 to 2002, Stacho led the software and engineering divison of SyBOR and managed several web application projects at key accounts such as UBS. Since 1992, Stacho has led the direction of SyBOR and has been piloting strategic SAP projects to the public sector.
