St Albans, 8 June 2006: Business & Decision, the international consulting and data engineering company specialising in Business Intelligence, Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Resource Planning and E-Business solutions, today announced it has been awarded first place in the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) Innovation Awards through its subsidiary Mi Services, in recognition of its development of an industry leading compliance solution for the Life Sciences sector.

Oracle Corporation introduced the OPN Innovation Award in 2004, to encourage and reward members of its Oracle PartnerNetwork, who have proven successful innovations using Oracle's products and technology, whilst at the same time bringing real benefits to the customer.

The Oracle E-Records Framework is an integral part of Oracle’s E-Business Suite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution and allows Life Sciences organisations to easily meet the requirements of regulatory agencies for the compliant use of electronic records and electronic signatures in industry sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnology. Jointly developed by Oracle’s product development teams and Business & Decision, who is a recognised leader in the Life Sciences industry, the Oracle E-Records Framework provides a complete solution at both the business process level, the software applications layer and in the underlying Oracle Database 10g.

This is the fourth Partner Innovation Awards to be given by Oracle in the Europe, Middle East and African region. It recognises the technical innovation of the solution, as well as the success of Business & Decision in integrating the technology as part of its ‘Compliant Enterprise’ solution, and delivering cost effective, compliant enterprise solutions to clients in the medical devices and pharmaceuticals sectors.
