Business & Decision, the European consulting and data engineering company specialising in Business Intelligence, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and E-Business, today announced the acquisition of Wel Network, the consulting and data integration company based in Grenoble, France.

Founded in 2001, Wel Network (who recorded a turnover of ¤0.8million in 2004 with a positive net income) brings to Business & Decision approximately ten consultants and experts that specialise in SAP BW/SEM and SAP NetWeaver technologies. The company possesses Schneider Electric and Eurocopter amongst its existing customers.

The acquisition of Wel Network is being funded by cash with an additional amount linked to performance in terms of sales turnover and profitability.

As a leader in Business Intelligence in France and Europe, Business & Decision have reinforced their partnership with SAP in business intelligence which was initially established in 2003. After having executed several projects in SAP BW/SEM and SAP NetWeaver technologies, Business & Decision have built up extensive experience which will be key to future growth.

Because of SAP’s leadership in the ERP market (which encompasses a large part of the information used in the Business Intelligence) and from Business & Decision’s leadership in this area, obvious synergies emerged very quickly from this partnership."

With more than eight years experience in the Business Intelligence arena, the founder of Wel Network, Nicola Imbrioscia (34 years old and an engineer of the Polytechnic School of Pavia, Italy) has been named as Head of SAP expertise within Business & Decision.
