a global e-commerce project with partner Proxi-Business. The project is for

AuchanSuper, the supermarket branch of the Auchan group.

 

Simply Market, a local supermarket chain, and the latest brand of the Auchan

group, is developing its sales strategy and client services by branching into

online sales.

 

The originality of the online supermarket, Simply Market, is in its direct access,

efficient search tools, and easy navigation from the main site

(http://www.simplymarket.fr) to virtual “arrival” in your local store. Simply

Market is an interactive shopping trip which is connected to your local

supermarket. On the site, just as on arrival in a real supermarket, the user

reaches an “entrance hall” page, where a range of services are offered. The

client can then continue to navigate the store, entering the e-commerce website,

where they can fill up their shopping basket, pay online and opt for either home

delivery or to collect their shopping from their chosen local store.

 

In response to global demands for e-commerce, AuchanSuper contracted B&D

Eolas’ to provide the following services:

 

• Hosting and administrating the e-commerce platform in a dedicated,secure, and monitored environment. A virtual and secured network,directly linked to the business’ IT system enables real-time handling of orders and stock. 

• Development and integration of the Proxi-Business e-commerce platformwith other member sites of the brand, using Eolas’ CMS.

• Integration of a logistics system for stock management and deliveries.

• Support in implementing a ‘local level’ strategy to the site, and aligning this with off-line promotions in order to promote Simply Market’s internet presence.

 

Business & Decision Eolas successfully developed a solution adapted to

AuchanSuper’s needs, integrating the company’s value chain into a website.
