6th November 2008 - "Partnering for Success 2008" – City Hall, London

25th - 26th June 2008 - Butler's 'Appliation Development & Recycle Management' Symposium, London

This event focused on Application Development and how it is undergoing challenges in the face of major trends in software infrastructure and development practices. The adoption of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) creates new opportunities but also throws challenges at developers and the business. This event helped address these challenges and endeavoured to provide answers. Adoption of Service Oriented Architecture, Agile Practices, and Web 2.0 were also discussed.

12th June - 13th June 2008 - RBS International Risk Congress, Edinburgh

Business & Decision exhibited at the RBS International Risk Congress which is an international meeting of all people working in Risk for RBS globally. This event was held at their RBS Gogarburn Conference Centre in Edinburgh on the 12th and 13th June 2008. Business & Decision presented at this event with speakers Ian Marshall and Kyran Bracken who presented a discussion on Corporate Risk.

29th April - 1st May 2008 - Internet World 2008, London

Business & Decision were one of six strategic partners who exhibited on the Microsoft stand at Internet World 2008. Internet World is one of the largest UK events attracting more than 8000 people per year and was held at London's Earls Court. This event comprised six themed areas: Enterprise Content Management Zone, Web 2.0 Zone, Search Zone, Collaboration and Social Zone, Business Intelligence Zone, Infrastructure Zone (Backup, Storage, Security).

11th March 2008 – SAP UK & Ireland User Group, Scotland Special Interest Group

This meeting is being sponsored by Business & Decision and will be themed around Report Writing and Business Intelligence and will also include practical examples and an introduction to new technologies.

20th December 2007 - "Ice Skating with the Dancing on Ice Stars" – Silverblades, Hemel Hempstead

Business & Decision invites its customers, partners and their families to join us for some fun on the ice, as the winners of 2007's Dancing on Ice Kyran Bracken and his partner Melanie Lambert take to the ice to show us why they were crowned 2007 Champions! Also performing for us on the night will be Fred Palascak, Matt Evers and Kristina Lenko. After the skaters have dazzled us with their routines the rink will be opened up to you and your families to join the skaters and practice some of the moves you have just seen. Light refreshments will be served.

SASAn event organised jointly by Business & Decision and SAS Ireland. With so many challenges facing the life sciences industry – pricing pressures, pipeline pressures, impending patent expirations, the soaring cost of developing new drugs – the strength of these companies as well as the intellectual property they need to improve the health of the public is being threatened. This session will focus on the biostatistical techniques in Research and Development, the use of data standards in Clinical Trials and data analysis in the development of PAT (Process Analytical Technology) models. This highly interactive workshop will discuss a number of practical and topical issues of importance to those involved in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices sectors. 6 September 2007 - "Partnering for Success 2007" - Tower Bridge Walkways, London


Business & Decision UK is pleased to announce the launch of "Partnering for Success", its annual customer and prospect networking event.
This year Partnering for Success takes the form of an evening drinks reception themed on the Rugby World Cup. This is Business & Decision's largest campaign of the year with the focus on targeting senior contacts and new prospects from enterprise accounts. The objectives are brand awareness and the creation of an informal networking environment where attendees are encouraged to relax and enjoy themselves.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet famous faces from the world of rugby, and the event will be hosted by Kyran Bracken, former England scrum half and recent winner of ITV's Dancing on Ice. The venue of Tower Bridge has stood over the River Thames since 1894 and is one of London's finest, most recognisable bridges in the world. The stunning Tower Bridge Walkways stand 45 meters above the Thames and span the North and South towers of the Bridge, offering breathtaking panoramic views.

15 May 2007 - The Role of Data Quality in Regulatory Compliance - Marlow, Buckinghamshire

5-6 February - MHRA Drugs, Devices and Regulations, London

Promoting the debate on the benefits/risk of medicines & medical devices

Business & Decision will be exhibiting at the next MHRA (Medicines, Healthcare Regulatory Agency) event. The conference will address the Agency's regulatory processes for approving medicines and medical devices.  It will focus on the law, regulations and policies associated with approving medicines and medical devices, as well as providing ‘real life' case studies.   The various regulatory processes will also be presented including the major inspection and enforcement activities of the Agency.  It will provide a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals, industry and the public to share knowledge and exchange information.  The programme content will be multidisciplinary, with sessions focusing on a range of health and regulatory issues aimed at differing levels of knowledge and experience.

23rd November 2006 - Life Sciences Autumn Workshop, Abingdon

The subject of this workshop is ‘Service Oriented Information Systems: Control and Compliance Issues’

The latest of our Life Sciences workshops addresses the industry trend towards so-called ‘Service Oriented Information Systems’, looks at the associated control and compliance issues in a highly regulated industry and allows attendees to discuss topical issues and propose solutions in an open and informative atmosphere. 8-10 November 2006 - Corporate Information Systems 2006, Dunblane

Business & Decision are a lunch sponsor at this year's UCISA CIS2006 conference, which has the theme "learning from others".CIS is facing huge challenges. SAS Forum UK was a two-day opportunity to meet and network with industry peers, share experiences and best practices, see new approaches to solving real-life challenges, and so maximise the value gained from SAS. The keynote speaker was Professor Thomas Davenport, who shared his immense knowledge on how to compete on analytics. This tied in superbly with the overall Forum theme of Building the Intelligent Enterprise. Business & Decision partnered with Oracle at this years Manufacturer LIVE event on stand 305.

25 May 2006 - Free of Charge - Life Sciences Spring Workshop

The subject of this workshop is ‘Successfully Validating Large Configurable Systems’

The workshop included a case study presented by well-known and widely respected Dr. Siegfried Schmitt, Quality Director at GE Healthcare Global IT, who had some very interesting lessons to share with anyone responsible for implementing, validating or supporting large, configurable applications.

Business & Decision and their partner Hyperion invited guests to the premier Scottish Business Performance Management event in 2005. Scott McCroskie, Finance Director at the premium brand drinks distributor Maxxium, explained how they put a solution in place which quickly enables them to gain improved insight in to the running of their business, resulting in measurable improvements in the company’s performance. Bernard Marr, from the Centre of Business Performance at Cranfield School of Management, took a highly informative look at the whole topic of Business Performance Management; uncovering many of the myths and “throwing off the covers” to reveal its true benefits. Following the presentations there was an informative and entertaining whisky tasting hosted by our guest presenters Maxxium.
