Option 1 - Licences Remain at, and Licensed to, the Client
We access our clients' software licences to enable us to derive intelligence on their organisation.
This option enables the client to keep its existing agreement intact and maintain a direct relationship with their software vendor, which can useful if the client wants to directly derive future benefits from its software vendor.
If for any reason the outsourcing arrangement should end, the client keeps its licences, eliminating the risk of repurchasing.
Option 2 - Transfer or Assigning of Licences to Business & Decision
This is similar to Option 1 but we take over the organisation's licences and become the licensee.
This option enables the client to make cost savings as it does not have to manage licences and software vendors on a routine basis. We will outline how we will manage software vendor contracts in our outsourcing contract and this will include detailed principles and ground rules for further purchases, including standard software licence terms.
On termination of the outsourcing contract, the licences would be signed back to the client or an alternative outsourcer, for an agreed value.
Option 3: Use Business & Decision's Licences
We have our own licences and by utilising these, substantial cost savings can be passed onto our clients.
